Sweet. Yeah, I’d say it’s about time too. I can’t believe I paid $9.99 for a freakin’ ladder. Of course, there was a free figure with it so it’s not all bad.
You bring up a great point. I’ve always thought the X-Wing suites bore a striking resemblance and it’s well documented that Lucas is a major Kubrick fan. Hence the “pod” showing up in E1. 2001 is by far my all time favorite Sci Fi movie. I even require my physics class to read the novel and then we watch the movie. Lots of really good stuff in there, especially the novel. Arthur C. Clarke was a freaking genius.

Vintage Luke doesn’t need a ladder,
he has the force.

No, you paid 9.99$ for a ladder, a repacked figure with a silly new head, what a waste of money Hasbro has given us.

The vintage figure from behind reminds me of the red space suit from 2001; I don’t know why.

Let’s all be lucky that they didn’t repackage vintage Luke with the ladder.

If they would have repackaged vintage Luke with the ladder, I would have bought two.

No doubt! Would have certainly made it worth the money.

I just realized… the vintage X-wing isn’t that high off the ground! You had to have jacked it up on something to get it to ‘ladder height’, LOL.

Yup, thus why you see so little of it.
