Yak’s Pub is a web strip that started in Sept. of 2006 on the YakFace.com forums. It takes place somewhere in between the real world of action figure toys and the Star Wars Universe as created by George Lucas.

The idea for Yak’s Pub actually came to me in the spring of 2005. I was sitting on the floor of my son’s room while we were playing Star Wars. As he occupied himself in his own little story line I began posing several of his figs at the bar. This lead from one scene to another and one-liner after one-liner.

I proceeded to get my old digital camera to make a record of my new idea in hopes of revisiting it one day. Well needless to say, the summer of 2006, I finally did..

and here it is just over a year later in final form…

Yak’s Pub was born.

The Pub was originally to be an Imperial Officers Club but after creating this picture…

I decided to go with Yak Face as proprietor of the Pub. He has the strong, silent, and trusted look to him. Plus the first place I posted was of course in the YakFace.com forums so he was a natural fit.

Yak’s Pub was originally presented in two Volumes with 15 sketches each. On September 5th, 2006 Yak’s Pub started week-daily posting. Finally, on March 23rd, 2007 Yak’s Pub made it’s move here… to it’s very own little spot on the internet.

At this point I must give a great big THANK YOU to all the wonderful support and encouragement of the YakFace.com staff and forums members. If it were not for them, Yak’s Pub would have only been 30 pictures long.
