Is that a recast Han in Carbonite? I see some bubbles in the surface.
And I think the proper spelling is ‘Gesundheit’. Which is funny, because most people would have misspelled ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra’… which I believe is also known as ‘Thus Spoke Zoroaster’.
So, are Han in Carbonite’s dimensions 1 by 4 by 9?
Yup, that is my very first casting from my very first mold. Going to try using my vacuum jar from the lab next time to avoid the bubbles. Surprising as it is.. I haven’t actually compared the dimensions… I can assure you though… the recast has differing “dimensions” all the way around. LOL
Well, the “1 x 4 x 9” comment was a reference to the dimensions of the monolith from 2001 and 2010… its dimensions being the squares of the numbers 1, 2, and 3. (I always liked 2010 better than 2001, personally.)
Oh yea, I caught the reference…. it would be interesting to see if there are some “official” dimensions to the carbonite block and it would be fantastic if they were the same ratio. I doubt it though, seeing that the carbonites thickness is way out of proportion to the height and width. 2010 over 2001… really? I always felt there was way too much dialog in 2010. Have you read the novels? 2010 is a fantastic novel but I still put 2001 over it. Always thought that 2061 was a bit too out there but Clarke made up for it in 3001
AKA, “Boba Fett Has Too Much Time on His Hands”. ^_^
